Bed Covers

My lovely wife Rita and I inherited this beautiful brass bed from her grandmother. We have slept in it for 50 years. The painting was an exercise in painting fabric...very challenging until I realized the combination of surfaces and folds defined a myriad of interesting shapes created by shadows from early morning light flooding through the windows.
Rita: "Is that your dirty old canvas work vest laying on the bed covers".......Don: "Yes my dear, but 'not to worry'.....it is merley on my side of the bed".
